How to be prepared, fearless, and in control. No matter what.
“Mindfulness:
1. the quality or state of being conscious or aware of something.
2. a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.
———
Survival:
the state or fact of continuing to live or exist, typically in spite of an accident, ordeal, or difficult circumstances”
Mindful Survival's mission is to promote self-sufficiency, balance, sustainability, awareness, preparation, and appreciation of the lives we're given through helpful tutorials and references.
It can cost a lot of money and take a lot of time to prepare for emergencies. Even worse, there are a lot of negative resources out there.
The tips and how-to’s you’ll find on Mindful Survival are devoted to “normal” people who want to be as prepared as possible for the difficult situations we encounter in this life.
In preparing to launch Mindful Survival, I discovered that the majority of “prepper” resources thrived on fear. Their messaging was heavily based in negativity, catering to an audience of people who are afraid that the government is coming to get them. Many of these websites, podcasts, books, and businesses thrive on paranoia and conspiracy theories. Mindful Survival is focused on providing resources for anyone who simply wants to live a better life and do what they can with what they have at the time, regardless of circumstances.
Through Mindful Survival, you’ll learn the basics about preparing for relatively common emergencies like power outages or food shortages. But you’ll also learn about mindfulness—ways to think more clearly in troubled times, whether in the middle of a pandemic, experiencing the loss of a loved one, or dealing with depression.
Thank you for visiting. If you have any questions, let me know, and stay tuned for more.
